Sarah is an experienced and compassionate barrister with over 20 years of experience having been called to the Bar at Grays Inn in 2002. She practices solely in family Law having transferred from a predominantly criminal practice in 2021. The skills honed at the criminal bar have proved invaluable when practising all aspects of family law. Sarah is a member of the Midland Circuit and Family Law Bar Association.
Sarah accepts instruction in financial remedies, public and private law children, and cases involving domestic abuse. She is qualified under the direct access scheme to accept instruction directly from members of the public.
A keen negotiator, Sarah always seeks the best outcome in cases involving finances during divorce. Her advocacy expertise covers the issues commonly found in cases in the family court, non-accidental injury, domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, emotional harm, and neglect. Whether a case needs sensitive guidance towards an order by consent in the best interests of the children/parties or robust cross-examination at final hearing, she is adept at finding a way forward.
Her experience in dealing sensitively with vulnerable witnesses is exceptional. Sarah is developing a practice centred around the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 and issues of Surrogacy.

Sarah has successfully represented clients in financial remedy cases, public and private law children, surrogacy/HFE 2008. She regularly deals with cases where parties need the assistance of the courts to determine financial remedies post divorce including intervenor cases, child arrangement orders, public law and Depravation of Liberty cases for the local authority, parents and guardian.
