Mr Andrew Horner
Andrew holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of East Anglia (First Class) and completed the BPTC at BPP University (Outstanding). He has rapidly progressed in Chambers, having established a reputation for his measured, persuasive and indeed fearless advocacy in a relatively short period of time. He is also qualified under the Public Access Scheme to accept instructions directly from members of the public, making him an accessible and convenient choice for clients.
Andrew’s expertise in family law is particularly strong, and he accepts instructions in financial remedy, public and private law children, and domestic abuse matters. With a special interest in financial remedy proceedings, he is regularly instructed in cases involving complex financial arrangements, including those involving multiple properties or challenging legal issues.
In addition to his family law practice, Andrew maintains a civil practice and accepts instructions in matters relating to contractual and property disputes, including those under TOLATA. He is also a member of the INQUEST Lawyers Group, and accepts instructions on behalf of bereaved families in respect of pre-inquest reviews and inquests, with a particular focus on child deaths in custody or care. Andrew is also qualified to undertake civil and commercial mediation.
Andrew is highly regarded by clients and colleagues alike, with many praising his professionalism, thoroughness, and human touch. Andrew is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law and is currently studying for a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law at Keele University.
